Here at Talbot HQ we welcome implementing new and innovative ways to live by the look good / feel geed ethos. With the return of a dear friend, who also happens to be a phenomenal chef (#winning), the Talbot chicas have agreed to embark on a raw food diet for the week.
Why go raw? We are interested in the benefits of this diet change. Welcoming the experience and being open minded to a movement that supports consuming living enzymes (i.e. raw food) which can help conserve the body’s energy, reduce disease-causing stress and support a healthier digestive system.

What are Raw Foods?
Raw foods are foods that contain enzymes. Essentially anything heated over 116-118 degrees (F) destroys the enzymes in food. Eating food in its ‘raw’ state supports a high nutritional content. Enzymes also assist in the digestion of food, they are seen as the ‘life force’ and ‘energy’ of food.
Why are enzymes important?
Not only assisting in the digestion of food, enzymes assist in reducing toxicity found in food which aids in stabilizing weight, nutritional value and assisting in breaking down food in the body.
The below are some of the raw benefits we are hoping to achieve – we will keep you posted…
1) Increased energy
2) Clearer skin
3) Mental clarity
4) Better and restful sleep (looking forward to this one)
5) Overall healing
